Match the product to the project

Start with the job you’re building.

Two practical paths for adding gas fire to a hardscape project.

Building with pavers?

Gas Insert Kits

Add a gas burner system to a compatible new or existing paver fire pit. Compare Universal Kits by opening size and Specialized Kits by paver system.

  • Match the opening dimensions and block system.
  • Review the burner, plate, connections, and supports.
  • Confirm vents and other components for the exact kit.

Paver enclosure sold separately. Included components vary by kit.

Finishing with your own stone?

Ready-to-Finish Kits

Start with an aluminum frame clad in concrete board, then finish the exterior to complement your client’s patio and materials.

  • Explore standard shapes and custom configurations.
  • Choose the exterior finish for the surrounding space.
  • Plan gas, ignition, vent placement, and service access.

Exterior finish and site work remain part of the build. Vents are installed on site.

What are Universal and Specialty Paver Kits?

Universal and Specialty Paver Kits are complete fire feature solutions designed to simplify installation within paver and hardscape applications. Universal Paver Kits offer flexible configurations that work with a variety of paver systems, while Specialty Paver Kits are designed to fit specific shapes, sizes, or manufacturer applications. Each kit pairs Warming Trends’ CROSSFIRE® 2.0 burner technology with the components needed to create a finished gas fire feature: Explore Warming Trends Paver Kits ↗

Choosing the right burner starts with the size and shape of your fire pit opening. Measure the interior dimensions of your enclosure, then consider your available gas supply, fuel type and desired flame. The size of your opening will help determine the maximum burner size, but bigger isn’t always necessary. CROSSFIRE® burners are designed to produce an impressive flame with the proper gas supply. Follow our Six Steps to Fire to find the right burner for your project or contact our Flame Specialists (303-346-2224) for more details on this process.

The right BTU output depends on the size of your fire feature, the burner you select, and the flame you want to achieve. Before choosing a burner, determine how much gas is available at the fire feature location. Available BTUs are affected by factors such as fuel type, gas pressure, gas line size, and the length of the gas run. Use our Gas Pipe Size & BTU Supply Chart as a guide ↗, and work with a licensed gas professional to confirm the available gas supply before installation. Once you know your available BTUs, you can select a CROSSFIRE® burner ↗ that fits both your fire feature and gas supply.

The right ignition system depends on several factors, including your available BTU supply, burner configuration, budget, project requirements, and local codes. Our Flame Specialists can help you compare your options and recommend the best ignition system for your specific fire feature. Call us at 303-346-2224 for personalized guidance or view our ignition system comparison chart! ↗

WATERSTOP™ is Warming Trends’ patented technology designed to prevent water and debris from entering the gas line. Built into every CROSSFIRE® 2.0 burner, it protects the gas system from water or debris intrusion and supports reliable performance in outdoor environments. Learn More About WATERSTOP™ Technology ↗

Yes. In addition to our standard Ready-to-Finish sizes and shapes, Warming Trends can design and manufacture a custom Ready-to-Finish fire pit kit to fit your project. Our Flame Specialists can work with you to create a solution based on your desired size, shape, burner, and project requirements.
